Whether you’re one for endless sunshine, amazing views, or dining and shopping stops to top it all off in flavor and style, you’ll find options in Southern California that fit your travel preferences at every turn. If your travel plans bring you to California with the kids in tow, LEGOLAND is a one-stop resource for fostering fun and imagination in tandem. From character meet and greets to build centers, rides, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy when LEGOLAND is on the itinerary.

Make the Most of Theme Park Fun

LEGOLAND is located in Carlsbad, California, and is more than a traditional theme park. This destination pairs traditional theme park fun with a water park and resort on-site as well. It’s an oasis of inspiration for Lego lovers from near and far with plenty of themed rides, food, and attractions included in the experience. LEGOLAND first opened in 1999 and continues to be a popular place among locals and visitors alike. The park is owned by Merlin Entertainment and was the first of its kind to open outside of Europe. When you visit, the little ones in your traveling crew will have access to more than 60 rides in addition to fun shows to experience. From rollercoasters to “driving” schools and all the Lego building in between, it’s a place where it’s easy to linger longer than you originally planned.

Cool Off at the Water Park

When temperatures rise, the water park at LEGOLAND theme park is a perfect place to cool off in style. Visitors will enjoy access to more than seven waterslides as well as a sandy beach to enjoy, and build-a-raft experiences to add to the to-do list. There are more than 10 acres to explore so be sure to set aside plenty of time to discover something new here. You’re also not going to want to miss out on attractions like the Twin Chasers, Riptide Racers, Orange Rush, or Pirate Reef during your visit.

Shows, Shopping, and On-Site Dining

If you’re looking for family friendly entertainment options, LEGOLAND has them. The park hosts a variety of shows each day that you can track on your park app to make sure you don’t miss the opening curtain. Guests can enjoy dance performances as well as musical entertainment. There’s even a 4D movie theater on-site that’s sure to thrill. When cravings come calling, LEGOLAND has plenty of eateries to enjoy. They serve up ice cream, cold beverages, popcorn, fried chicken, pizza, salads, and more across the park. Once you’re feeling ready to go again, don’t miss out on time browsing the on-site shops. They’re wonderful places to find fun, custom souvenirs as well as Lego sets and colorful apparel.

Plan Your Visit

LEGOLAND is open daily from 10:00 am until 6:00 am but it’s always a good idea to confirm opening hours on your park app before you head out to check for any seasonal changes. You’ll want to purchase your tickets in advance with options to buy 1-day tickets, 2-day passes, or a family package depending on preference and how long you have to spare at LEGOLAND in the name of fun.
